So many of you want to know what role playing is, right? Well, read this topic, then! ^___^

Introduction

Role playing is the life giver. If we didn't have it, I don't know what I would do. It's a good way to pass by extra time when not engaged by the forum's other activities. It's basicly like controlling an alter ego of yourself, only not. It's really easy and really simple!

Basics

The basics are simple, and the body of role playing itself. First, we'll run through what makes up a roleplay.

The Plot

The plot is how the story goes, basicly. It's what all the members have to follow. So say like:

'Once in a land far, far away, lived a very strong swampert. He led a troop of over thirty mudkips and marshtops. Then, war broke out among the two troops, Swampert's and Sceptile's. Now, a brave Blazekin must find a way to prevent anymore lives from being lost in a quest to find Shaymin and Kyogre.'

That would be a plot. The RP will end when requirements are fufilled.

The rules

All RPs have different rules. Like in this particular case with the plot (above) there probroly wouldn't be a Squirtle because this obviously takes place in generation 3 onward.

Some common rules are:

-No godmoding/powerplaying.

Easy. You can't control another person's character or an NPC, or nonplayable character. You also can't say the effects on another person's character from an attack.

-No Mary-sues/Gary-stues.

No perfect characters.

The form

The form that RPs use isn't that complicated to fill out.

Name: (the name of you character.)

Age: (the character's age. It probroly would make sense for it to be relevent to what's going on. A 5 year old isn't going to fight in a war.)

Gender: (Male or female. (boy or girl))

Appearence: (What your character looks like. The no mary-sue rule applies here. Also avoid using the words "pretty" or "beutiful".)

Personality: (What your character acts like. The no mary-sue rule applies here. In some RPs, PO, or Played out, is allowed.)

Bio: (The history of your character)

Other: (anything else)

RPmakers can add/remove feilds from the list, above is the basics.

Name: Swampert

Age: 26

Gender: Male

Appearence: Like a normal swampert, only where the dark blue is, he is shale.

Personality: PO

Bio: Not avalible

Other: Is the SMM troop leader.

A post in an RP would look like this:
